Saturday, March 23rd, 2013, the 24th Annual Bandana Ball at the Wild Onion Ranch, inspired many of us to channel our inner cowboy (or cowgirl). We were honored to provide our event coordination and catering services to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Guests were greeted by two LIVE longhorns standing next to a cutout of Ronald McDonald himself. Cheek-to-cheek smiles were contagious among the 900 people that came pouring in to show their support for the Ronald McDonald House.
The specialty drinks were a hit! You couldn’t go wrong with a Wild Blood Orange Margarita or the bright pink Prickly Pear Martini (all made with freshly squeezed juice). Yum! We had a seasoned variety of food to fill anyone’s belly. The night kicked off with scrumptious hors d’oeuvres like Pork Carnitas Nachos with Black Bean Puree and Seared Ahi Tuna on Wonton Crisps. The buffet dinner featured items such as the Smoked Texas Brisket, Crispy Chicken Roulade with Smoked Cowboy Sausage Jambalaya and Shrimp Enchiladas with Tomatillo Salsa. Are you drooling yet?
Brooke Hester was the highlight of the night, seen in her adorable strawberry sunglasses and wearing one of her jazzed up “Brooke’s Blossoms” around her head. Anyone that made a gift or donation received their own “Brooke’s Blossom” in return. Brooke’s joyful presence helped raise over $550,000 –What a successful night!
We were pleased to serve such a wonderful event and we hope to see all of you next year for another beautiful evening. All the hard work was well worth it!
